So after Lee slit the mans' throat, he led Sam back to his house and showed him the bunker.  After getting Sam some water and letting him relax and calm down, Lee asked what Sam has see while he was on the road.  Sam said he saw packs of the infected working together, and that he saw people on top of a house near Lee's place.  Once Lee heard this he knew he had to try to save them.  He made a simple plan of driving down towards the house in his truck, pick up any survivors, and high tail it back to the house before night.  So after telling Sam about his closet of equipment and how he shouldn't mess with any of the gear inside, Lee set off.  Once Lee got close to the house, he parked his truck on the side of the road and went to rest of the distance on foot.  As he approached, Lee a mother and a child lying on the roof of the house.  But before he could get closer, three infected came running out of the house towards him.  Lee took out the first two easily but took him another shot to finish off the last one.  He quickly found a ladder and helped to two down and gave them some water and vitamins.  He learned that the mother's name was Angela and the daughter's name was Anne.  While walking back to the truck, a humvee and a purple truck were parked and blocking his truck.  Then Lee noticed a group of men walking towards them and quickly ran back to the tree line behind Angela's house to avoid the group.  So now Lee is without a truck in the woods with two heavily dehydrated girls and a group of possibily dangerous armed men looking for them. 

So after clearing the Peterson's house, Lee was about to head back home but something stopped him.  A red truck was chasing a father and his son, once the truck caught up to them, a group of men with rifles got out,surrounded and killed the father while the son ran towards the house.  When the son got near Lee, Lee quickly scooped him up and ran into the woods without being noticed.  Once Lee felt there was a good distance between them and the men he stopped and hid the kid, Sam, and went back to kill the men in the red truck.  When Lee got back he saw two guys outside the house and didn't know how many were inside.  Lee took the first two easily with his M4, and saw the rest running towards the truck.  He loaded his 40mm grenade launcher and blew up the truck just before the guys reached the truck.  Lee killed the rest except the one who killed Sam's Father and took him Sam.  Once Lee and the man reached Sam, Lee gave Sam the option to kill the man or let him go, Sam chose to let him go.  So Lee walked the man out of Sam's sight and slit his throat anyway

So a lot of stuff has happened since my last blog, Lee has left the safety of his bunker to scout the surrounding area.  Lee's first attempt at scouting was cut short when leaving his house he was attacked by an infected girl who tried to kill him but only stabbed him in the leg.  Lee quickly retreated back into the house and ran into the bunker, quickly treating his wound.  Thankfully it wasn't too bad and he could heal the wound himself, but after his run in with the infected girl, Lee wasn't going out again that day.  The next day, Lee was a little more careful and got all the way to the closest house to his, the Petersons.  Lee kinda knew the Petersons, he went hunting with the husband a few times and watched sports a couple of times at there house.  When he got to the house he found the wife and daughter killed and the husband infected, Lee quickly put him down and then out of respect buried them in the back yard.  

So for the last two weeks, I've been reading "The Remaining" by D.J. Molles.  It's about a U.S. army spec ops soldier sent on a mission to reestablish the U.S. government after a viral outbreak.  The soldier's name is Captain Lee, and to maximize his ability to stay safe, the government built a bunker under Lee's house a.k.a called the hole.  He has a germansheperd named Tango, and both have been living in the hole for  three months with no contact to the outside world except emails from Lee's C.O. named Frank.  Lee's orders are to leave the hole after a month of no communications from Frank, once the emails stop, Lee gets a little worried about the might be waiting for him outside.
